You will no doubt have seen that yesterday the Government announced the widespread closure of schools across the UK from the end of school on Friday 20th March. It appears that schools will be required to provide education / childcare (i.e. before and after school clubs) for those children identified as vulnerable and the children of ‘key workers’ who are employed in health care, education and other strategic roles. We await clarification from the Government regarding those who are identified as a ‘key worker’, and what the arrangements over the coming weeks will be.
